About the Enterprise

Polymer Plant, LLCLimited Liability Company HaloPolymer Kirovo-Chepetsk is the largest fluoroplastic producer in Russia (over 70%) and the only producer of specialized grades of fluoroprenes, fluoroplastics suspensions, fluorinated liquids and lubricants.

The plant is constantly being upgraded in order to increase the efficiency of the enterprise and introduce progressive and environmentally safe technologies.

HaloPolymer Kirovo-Chepetsk turns out such products as fluoroplastics, fluoroprenes, freons and their mixtures, monomers, oxygen containing fluorinated compounds, fluorinated gazes, lubricants and liquids, chlororganic compounds, acids, alkalies and their compounds, gazes, fluoroplastic production and commodities as well as new types of products, such as granulated potassium chloride, potassium hydroxide, new generation of fluoroprenes, new generation of ski lubricants. The production from HaloPolymer Kirovo-Chepetsk is used in rocket-and-space engineering, aviation, radioelectronics and other industries.

Today, HaloPolymer Kirovo-Chepetsk has over 2 thousand employees.

History of the Enterprise

  • 1938  Construction of future Kirovo-Chepetskiy Khimicheskii Kombinat began
  • 1946  The enterprise is put in operation.
  • 1949  Production of fluorine hydride is launched.
  • 1954  Creation of atomic shield in Russia.  Uranium tetrafluoride production has commenced .
  • 1955  Production of chlorine and caustic soda is launched.
  • 1956  First Soviet fluoroplastics and first chloroform lot are produced.  
  • 1961  Production of fluorine containing copolymers and fluoroprenes is launched.
  • 1966  Production of lubricants and unique liquids has commenced; herbicides production is launched.
  • 1973  Fluoroplastic products are launched into production.
  • 2002  Production of potassium containing triple analysis fertilizer – NPK – has commenced.
  • 2003  The polymer plant is spun off to become a subsidiary of the chemical works.
  • June 2008 Creation of Open Joint Stock Company HaloPolymer, which has consolidated the largest Russian enterprises that specialize in polymer production.

As of June 2008, HaloPolymer, OJSC controls 100% of authorized capital of HaloPolymer Kirovo-Chepetsk, OJSC.
