FTORPLAST™ PVDF powder
MODIFIED POLYVINYLIDENE DIFLUORIDE HOMOPOLYMER
CHEMICAL NAME: Poly-1,1-Difluoroethene
SYNONYMS: Poly(1,1-difluoroethylene), Poly(vinylidene difluoride), Polyvinylidene fluoride resin, Poly(vinylidene fluoride) fluoroplastic, PVDF, PVDF resin homopolymer, PVF2
TRADE NAMES: Dyneon™ PVDF (Dyneon), Kynar® PVDF (Arkema Inc.), Neoflon ® PVDF (Daikin), Hylar® PVDF, Solef ® PVDF (Solvay Solexis)
STRUCTURAL FORMULA: – (- CH2 - CF2 -)n -
CAS NO.: 24937-79-9
H.S.CODE: 3904.69.9000
APPLICATIONS:
1. PVDF powder is specifically designed for solvent-based coatings to provide strong and tough corrosion resistant films with improved within broad useful temperature range for chemical process equipment and long-life architectural finishes (building panels, metal siding and roofing, storefront extrusions, curtain walls, louvers, skylights)
2. Woven cloth from PVDF monofilament serves for chemical filtration applications. PVDF formulation with refractive index identical to that of water is extruded into fishing line for catching large fish such as tuna.
Upper / Lower service temperature: +130oC (+266oF) / -55oC (-67oF)
